Dr Stephen Sizer (founder and director of Peacemakers)***Ahmed Al Moayyad (political analyst from Yemen)Images of starvation among children in several places have circulated widely in recent weeks. While military conflicts have caused enormous casualties, the blockade that the attackers often imposed on others often led to hunger. Gaza has been on the brink of famine since Israel launched its war six months ago. In the past few years Yemen faced the worst humanitarian crisis in modern history as a result of the Saudi-led war which began nine years ago. Somalia faced a similar fate.
